Why join your Home Owner’s Association?
1- Large out-of- state real estate conglomerates are now buying up
the parks all over Florida and they care only about one thing – large
profits for their shareholders and bonuses for themselves - so you need
an association with a board and committees willing to spend the time to
research the issues to force the park owner to honor the obligations you
are entitled to under state law.
2- Many of our park residents do not have the knowledge or financial
resources to take on these large corporations and the HOA helps by
having a lawyer on retainer to answer questions and combat
irregularities by the park management teams.
3- Membership dues help provide the website, newsletters, and office
supplies to help the HOA board get the message out to the residents. You
also get a free directory of residents with lot numbers, phone and
e-mail information.
4- Dues help provide a legal fund so when it becomes necessary to file a
legal action or lawsuit you have the resources readily available. There
is strength in numbers and an HOA which can show a majority of
residents in solidarity has a huge advantage over one that has minimal
support.
5- The HOA provides a forum for homeowners to address issues and resolve differences with community wide meetings.
6- Your HOA offers financial support for neighborhood efforts like the
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) which is available in times of
weather and other emergency situations. Your HOA makes it possible to
have our own Bingo in the community and helps financially with some of
the events in the community like the 50th Anniversary party and Variety
Show.
Your HOA needs the financial backing of EACH AND EVERY HOMEOWNER if
it is to become the representative that each homeowner needs and $25.00
per year is less than Seven (7) cents per day which is a very small
price to pay for all you get in return.
